I found the most amazing hidden gem, The Madame CJ Walkers Beauty Shoppe and Museum. The MadameMuseum is an original Atlanta based Madame CJ Walker beauty shoppe (circa 1950) located in Atlanta. This historic space has been preserved as the MadameMuseum. While Madame Walker defintely made her mark in the black hair care world, she has been tremendously mis-represented. I encourage you all you go check on Mr. Ricci, get a tour and learn the real history behind the pressing comb. In addition to this building being on of Madame Walker's beauty shop, it was also home to WERD, the first black owned and operated radio station.
